Question 1

Which deck materials are right for Austin, Texas?

Accepted Answer

Capped composite handles our sun with the least upkeep, cedar brings natural character, and pressure-treated pine remains the workhorse surface. Most Austin, Texas builds use a mix — treated framing with the surface in your preferred material. Call (888) 905-6092 to talk through your yard.

Question 2

How quickly can you come out?

Accepted Answer

Design consultations are typically scheduled within a few days, and urgent repair inspections can often happen same-day. Call (888) 905-6092 and we'll find the earliest slot for your Austin, Texas project.

Question 3

Do I need a contract?

Accepted Answer

For builds and major repairs, yes — a written agreement spells out scope, materials, timeline, and milestones before any work begins, which protects both sides. Small repairs run on a simple written scope. We walk you through it line by line before starting.

Question 4

How long does a deck build take?

Accepted Answer

Permits usually clear in one to two weeks, and most residential builds are framed and finished within another one to two weeks after that. Multi-level builds with covers or outdoor kitchens run longer. We give you a realistic calendar up front.

Question 5

Can you build on my sloped lot?

Accepted Answer

Most of our builds are on slopes — that's hill country terrain. Multi-level layouts, stepped footings, and engineered posts turn a difficult grade into the standout feature of the backyard.

Question 6

What maintenance will my new deck need?

Accepted Answer

Composite needs soap, water, and occasional rinsing. Wood surfaces need cleaning and resealing every one to two years in our sun. We hand every client a care card and a maintenance calendar at the final walkthrough.

Question 7

Do you offer design help, or do I need plans already?

Accepted Answer

Design is part of our service. We walk the lot, go over layouts and materials with you, and prepare the scaled plan that goes to the city. You don't need anything prepared before calling (888) 905-6092.

Question 8

Can you repair a deck another builder installed?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and we do it often. We inspect the structure first, show you photos of what we find, and repair or rebuild only what actually needs it — regardless of who built it originally.

Question 9

When is the right time of year to build a deck?

Accepted Answer

We build year-round in Central Texas. Spring and fall are the most comfortable, but winter scheduling is often fastest since calendars are lighter. Summer builds just start earlier in the morning.

Question 10

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

Call (888) 905-6092 or fill out our quick request form and we'll schedule a site walk. We'll measure the lot, go over materials and layout options, and put a design and clear written scope in your hands.
